I'm Leah. I'm a wife & mother of 3. I was always considered a "tom boy" growing up. I grew up in athletics. I was never a dancer until I came across pole in my young adulthood where I took an intro class, signed up for a membership that day and never looked back! I continued to take classes until I became an instructor a few years later. I fell in love with pole due to the internal transformation it took me through. It gave me so much confidence and helped to mold me as a woman. Now, I enjoy being apart of the process for others to experience. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Instructor. Helping women gain confidence through various forms of fitness is my passion. This is what I do. Come give us a try; you won't regret it 💜
My pole name is Makaria Thorne, but you can also call me by my given name, Holly! I started poling in February 2019 and I am loving every moment of where this journey is taking me! Pole has provided me with a safe outlet for expression and has done wonders for both my physical and mental health! As an instructor my greatest desire is to assist others in finding the same joy that pole has given me and to meet my students exactly where they are in their personal journey with pole.
Hey friends!! My name is Shay. I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was constantly involved in some type of dance or cheer whether it was in school or community rec centers.
In 2022, I took Intro to Pole at Pole Body & Arts. Less than a month later I had a pole up in the house and an unlimited membership to the studio. I fell for this sport hard and fast! Throughout the last few years, I’ve performed in various showcases & competitions. I love aerial shapes, 8-inch heels, & floor work.
Pole has helped me learn to utilize movement & dance as a form of release. It’s gotten me through some of the most difficult times of my life.
The pole has been a safe space for me to learn, to create, to express…to be my most authentic self. I want that for all of my students. So whether we’re sexy dancing to Miguel, twerking to Meg, or crying to Adele, come express with me- it’ll be such a good time! <3
Hi! My name is Desirae (Dez for short). I have danced on and off for most of my life, coached competitive dance for 5 years, taught street heels in Dallas the last year, and am YTT200 Yoga Teacher certified. Originally a Chicago suburb native, I have moved around from Florida to Dallas and now call Winston Salem home! 4 years ago, I took my first pole class and have been in love ever since! A gym girl at heart, pole has always been a welcome challenge for me! But dance is more than movement and exercise, it is also deeply spiritual to me. The studio is a place that I can let go of expectation, judgement, and fear allowing my body to move freely and creatively. I hope to offer the same safe space for each and every one of you! I am excited and honored to be a part of your pole journey and can't wait for you to get started.
My name is Jolene, but feel free to call me Jo! I started dancing 3 years ago during the peak of covid and haven’t stopped spinning since. Working in the club on so many slow nights, I have plenty of time to practice and help my friends achieve their dancing queen dreams. For me, dancing has revived my inner gymnast and is my best stress reliever. I can’t wait to let loose and do more of what I love with amazing talented people.
