Common Beginner Questions

Q: Am I strong enough?

A: Yes. Strength is built through practice — not required before you start.

Q: What if I'm nervous or shy?

A: That's completely normal. Our instructors are patient, encouraging, and beginner-focused.

Q: Is there a weight limit?

A: No. There is no weight limit on our poles. All bodies can pole safely.

Q: Do I need to be flexible?

A: No. Flexibility improves over time and is never a requirement to begin.

What Happens After Your First Class?

Once you complete your first class, you can:

  • Continue with Beginner Pole classes, then move into Pole Essentials I — your next level in pole dance for beginners. You'll stay at this level until you're ready to test out and progress forward.
  • Inside the studio, you'll also find performance charts that outline all the skills and movements you'll learn at each level.
  • Explore other classes such as strength and conditioning, polestands, climbs & inverts, stretch, off the pole dance classes, etc.
  • Try Open Gym when you're ready

Our team is always happy to help guide your next steps.
